Jacob is a Raleigh native, born and raised. He is a husband, Attorney, US Navy veteran, and most importantly a father of four wonderful children. He and his wife attended Wake County Public Schools, graduating from Sanderson High School in 1997, and three of Jacob and Lisa’s four children currently attend Wake County Public Schools. As a public school parent, Jacob is keenly aware of the challenges facing our students, parents and teachers in the Wake County Public School System.

Unfortunately, the Wake County School Board has lost their direction and abandoned their responsibilities of supporting our parents, students, and teachers. To face the growing challenges for public education in Wake County, we can’t rely on more of the same ineffective policies. It is time for a change.
As your District 7 School Board member, Jacob will work to implement policies, and make decisions, that seek to Involve Parents, Invest in Students, and Support Teachers. It’s going to take time, effort, and volunteers to make this a reality. Together, we can begin the process of making the Wake County School Board a body that truly seeks to serve those it represents.
